Personal:
Lorenzo was predominately raised by his maternal uncles while his mother would say that she raised him. He was influenced not only by them but by his paternal grandmother as well who insisted that he spend the summers with her until the age of eleven at the very least. She wanted to be sure that he would be educated 'properly'. If there were any memories from his father's behavior towards him that contributed to his personality, Lorenzo will never know. He was too young to recall any memories of his father whom died when he was a toddler of an incurable magical sickness.

The earliest memories Lorenzo can recall are of his uncles. Peter had begun to teach him to play the piano and the guitar (children's piano's and guitars) from a very young age. As he grew older, more musical instruments were added to his repertoire. He fell in love with the bass guitar and would continually drift back to it. While he was still underage he would visit his uncle's club where he had even been able to fill in and play as the bassist guitarist for the house band. Fueled in part by his mother's disapproval, Peter's refusal to admit that he was in the wrong stating, "the kid isn't drinking anything but soda or water and the band keeps any predators away" Lorenzo continued to frequent the club and play in the band. It wasn't as if his Uncle Peter hand't made sure to check the completion of his homework or kept him to the wee hours of the morning.

His Uncle Basil was never left alone with him usually paired either with his Uncle Alex or his Uncle Peter. Lorenzo would later find out it was because neither they nor his mother trusted his uncle not to accidentally set him on fire, corrupt him with his love of pyromania, etc. There was also his mother's, "You couldn't be trusted to take care of a goldfish." While Basil had said he'd resented that remark, Alex had deadpanned, "You resemble that remark." His love of fire and fireworks aside, Basil had inadvertently taught Lorenzo that chaos wasn't necessarily a bad thing and could be used towards your advantage. Being around his uncle also taught him how to think quickly and on his feet.

Alex had taught him how to be sarcastic with his many quips to Basil and at the man's expense. He helped with Lorenzo's rational thinking, strategic skills, and how to regulate his emotions as his Uncle Basil clearly didn't have that type of control and had a fuse like that of his beloved fireworks. As Alex had been a very independent child by circumstance, he taught that trait to his nephew so that he could be able to do things for himself. Skills of listening and being quiet and unobtrusive were also learnt from his uncle whom likely didn't know that he was passing such lessons onto.

It was from his Uncles Alex and Basil whom he would learn about the inadequacies of the British Wizarding Government as well as that of the muggle one. From listening to tales from not only his uncles but the times his grandmother's rants, it ignited a desire and goal in Lorenzo.

From all the summers forced to be with his grandmother greatly had an impact on Lorenzo but not the kind the old woman desired. Oh, he was proud, just as she had wanted him to be. From her hand he learned endurance and perseverance. What she hadn't known that he was taking away from his time and lessons with her was to not allow himself to be as narrow minded as she or his mother had become. The two women argued frequently about his upbringing and then where he should attend magical schooling. Having heard stories about Hogwarts from not only his mother but his uncles Basil and Alex, Lorenzo wasn't too keen on going there. His father on the other hand had attended Castelobruxo, which is the one that Lorenzo opted for. His grandmother wrongfully thought she had won their argument, being smug much to his annoyance. Lorenzo had wanted to go to this father's school so that he could see what it was like and talk to the children there to find out the differences between it and his mother's school.

Upon graduating from Castelobruxo, Lorenzo briefly joined the same quidditch team his father had been a member of, as a reserve beater. His mother worried that he was going to be as aimless as his Uncle Basil when he'd joined the team then left it just as quickly to enroll at the Wizarding Academy of Dramatic Arts. He couldn't blame her or anyone for thinking that he didn't know what he wanted as he seemed to hop from one thing to another with no rhyme or reason. They didn't understand he had an end goal with all his meanderings. Once he'd learned all he wanted or could from the institution, Lorenzo applied for a position in the Ministry; specifically that in the Department of Law Enforcement.
