Family:
Carson is the eldest son of the Blake family, a nobel pureblood family which moved all around Europe over the years. He grew up with one older sister and two younger brothers. His sister went to Hogwarts for some of her schooling before the family relocated to southern France and Carson started his own education at Beauxbatons while his older sister, Sarah, transfered.

The younger siblings, fraternal twins, joined their older siblings at the paresian magical school when it was time for their education to begin, but the Blake parents soon moved to Romania for work and took the younger girls with them, transferring them to Durmstrang. Carson and Sarah chose to remain at Beauxbatons as they were old enough to choose for themselves.

The family, thus, is not very close. All of the Blake children grew up with a sense of independence that was not to be rivaled, while also learning the basic expectations of being pure of blood and high of rank when they were still young enough to be around their parents most often. The family is strict and cold for the most part, but they are also very loyal.

Personal:
Beauxbatons was a rather strict school, which fed well to Carson's general disposition. The boy thrived in the environment, though he was not so quick to make friends. He did quickly learn the language of the country, and soon found himself learning other languages as well. Spoken word became a passion of his, and soon he had mastered many languages, only going on to study and learn more as the years passed.

When he was in school, Carson took a liking to arithmancy and the forgotten arts, though he also enjoyed many of his other subjects. He was also always interested in poitics, so it seemed a no-brainer to decide to major in political science at MAMA. He also took on a minor in business.

Carson's first three years at Merlin's found him answering letters from home regarding his intent to take his place as heir, his progress as far as his studies were concerned, and his thoughts on his younger sisters coming to the school upon their graduation. As he entered his senior year, Carson was informed that his sisters would indeed be joining him, though they'd be living in dorms while he stayed in his lavish apartment in town, and that his father's health had taken a bad turn.

Now it would seem that Carson is going to be inheriting the key role of his family much sooner than he initially expected, and he is well prepared to enter the magical political field. The only thing he still needs is more of a social/personal future, which he plans to work on as he finishes his studies. Senior year should be relatively easy class-wise, so he figures it's a good time to focus on fullfilling his more... frivolous needs.
